Carlos Macasaet, Sr. Software Engineer, talks about using the cloud and MongoDB to process log files for speed. The idea was born out of current frustration with a product we use internally that is slow and has its limitations.
The demo shows how fast it is to run complex queries on our Apache log files after we load them into a MongoDB server sitting on an Amazon EC2 instance. Carols shows how this helps get fast reports on possible issues affecting the site.
